port er house PIK

Port er house is a western resto with a cozy outlook. With an open bar, wide outdoor space and such an engaging interior design, it definitely is a place to see and to be seen.
Not only does it has a outstanding design, friendly service, but its choices of foods are so various and mouthwatering.

Lemon Tea

The lemon tea is served with lime sorbet. Well, me and my cousins were quarreling about whether it is ice cream, as my cousin insisted that it was gulali (some sort of traditional Indonesian sweet candy cotton). But no it wasn't. we asked the waiter and he claimed that it is sorbet.

The menu book

The country designed menu book just boosted our appetite. The random food scribble in it are just simple but mouthwatering.

Penne Carbonara

The carbonara sauce is not overflowing, but the penne still taste really nice because the sauce, even in a small amount, gave out such a strong taste. If you look carefully, you might find a few uncooked spaghetti sticks. I guessed those are roasted spaghetti, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. And, because I have never tried it before, it taste nice. Hahah

Penne Tri Colore

Well, I didn't try this dish, it belongs to my aunt or uncle.. (actually the penne carbonara belongs to my brother but I just took a few spoons.. Just curious..hehe)

Mushroom Soup

I only managed to get a few spoons of this thick, heartwarming soup, as my cousin finishes it up so quickly :( Anyways, it really is nice. I love love looovee the strong mushroom taste. And actually I got to finish the garlic bread but it was hard, but is still very edible.

Spaggedies

Spaggedies is decorated in a fusion o fold fashion and contemporary design. It has a very cosy atmosphere and is a perfect place to hangout with families or friends. The servants here are friendly and the foods exceptionally delicious. It was quite pricey, though, but the money you spent will be worth it.
Ice Lemon Tea Rp20.000/US$2.2

Chicken and Pasta Salad Rp45.000/US$5

The salad consists mostly of romaine lettuce, tomato, strips of chicken and sprinkle of shredded cheese, with a few tiny chunks of mozarella cheese. It was dressed  with vinaigrette, so I bet this is very healthy and suitable for those undergoing diet. The little pasta somehow made a significant taste to the salad. And the croutons--amazing!

Spaghetti Vongole Rp 60.000/US$6.8

I wasn't that fascinated with clear soup spaghetti like this vongole di bianco, but I just fell in love once I put the spaghetti in my mouth. The broth is so heartwarming. I can tell that it was made of real broth instead of just adding salt and seasoning to hot water. The clams in the pasta menu is very generous. There are like around a dozen of the mollusk on the plate. The addition of just adequate amount of herbs made up the flavor without destructing the taste of the pasta.

Smoked Salmon Pizza Rp75.000/ US$8

I almost went for the mushroom and cheese pizza, until I found this one on the menu book. Mushroom and cheese pizza is my all time favorite, but since I had it a few times before already, why not go for something new? When the pizza arrived at our table, I was not that appealed to the presentation, as the pizza crust seemed thick and I was expecting the Italian thin crust pizza. Nevertheless, the pizza crust is crunchy and goes really well with the toppings. The smoked salmon slices are quite thick, the sour cream is just nice and the black olives is nicer than the one I found elsewhere. Usually olives are salty, but this one is not. It's simply refreshing.

QQ Kopitiam

QQ Kopitiam, as its name suggests, is a kopitiam style cafe, with kopitiam style foods, but made to a more contemporary liking. I stopped by for evening snack once, and this is what we had.

The Old Style Table Number Plate

Ice Barley Rp13.000/US$1.5

The barley is so flavorful, they are adding pandan leaves and a lemon slice.
The lemon tea is refreshing as usual.
What's unique with the beverages here is that it is served in a jam jar with a handle, so it looks really nice and appetiting.

Ice Lemon Tea Rp13.000/US$1.5

Fried Banana Rp 15.000/US$1.8

The Fried banana is so crispy, as it was fried with bread crumbs. The banana inside is so sweet. Dipped in the kaya sauce, it's really a nice dish for snack time.

Callista Garden PIK

A very elegantly decorated resto, serving western foods. The interior which is a fusion of country and modern style, is dominated with green and white. The foods here are not really outstanding though, but is very nicely served.

Ice Lemon Tea

The lemon tea is rather sweet than sour, but it's good because I like sweets.
Salad

The salad is rather bland because the dressing is very light, with no mayonnaise at all. So i bet it's good for those having diet. The light vinaigrette is sour and has the flavor of herbs. The chicken piesec are not generous though.

Pizza with Pepperoni

The pizza dough is very floury. The dough is not that crispy, and the taste is not as what I expected. But it's not that bad if you want to give it a go.
