port er house PIK

Port er house is a western resto with a cozy outlook. With an open bar, wide outdoor space and such an engaging interior design, it definitely is a place to see and to be seen.
Not only does it has a outstanding design, friendly service, but its choices of foods are so various and mouthwatering.

Lemon Tea

The lemon tea is served with lime sorbet. Well, me and my cousins were quarreling about whether it is ice cream, as my cousin insisted that it was gulali (some sort of traditional Indonesian sweet candy cotton). But no it wasn't. we asked the waiter and he claimed that it is sorbet.

The menu book

The country designed menu book just boosted our appetite. The random food scribble in it are just simple but mouthwatering.

Penne Carbonara

The carbonara sauce is not overflowing, but the penne still taste really nice because the sauce, even in a small amount, gave out such a strong taste. If you look carefully, you might find a few uncooked spaghetti sticks. I guessed those are roasted spaghetti, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. And, because I have never tried it before, it taste nice. Hahah

Penne Tri Colore

Well, I didn't try this dish, it belongs to my aunt or uncle.. (actually the penne carbonara belongs to my brother but I just took a few spoons.. Just curious..hehe)

Mushroom Soup

I only managed to get a few spoons of this thick, heartwarming soup, as my cousin finishes it up so quickly :( Anyways, it really is nice. I love love looovee the strong mushroom taste. And actually I got to finish the garlic bread but it was hard, but is still very edible.

Pan n Barell

This modern style restaurant in PIK, Jakarta served mainly western foods. It has a very comfortable interior with some sofas. Really made a nice place to hang out.
Chocolate Waffle

The waffle is small in portion, but it's a good thing so that you don't get bored eating the whole thing up.

Smokey Ribs

Smokey Ribs is located at Pantai Indah Kapuk, just a few minutes drive from Waterbom PIK. It is a western restaurant offering one of the best ribs in the area. I'm not a huge fan of ribs though, but I could say that the ribs here are very flavorful and worth to try. It offers two types of ribs- pork ribs and beef ribs. Pork rib has more fats and the texture is softer than beef ribs. And it has got more meats too. Other than ribs, a lot more western delicacies are available there.

Cream Soup

I love cream soup! And this one adds up to the list of my favorite cream soups.

Fried calamari rings

The portion of the calamari rings might not be the most generous in town, but that's what makes a good appetizer, right?

Potato skin

NICE! The bite-size potato skins are totally covered up with cheddar cheese and sprinkled with some dried bacon pieces. The sour cream kind of match up with the potato skin, but if you don't like sour cream it would give a really weird taste.

Beef ribs

The beef ribs is served with one choice of side dish plus coleslaw. The sauce comes in a few choices as usual- BBQ, mushroom, etc. I could tell that the beef ribs has been well marinated before it was being grilled. The flavor is so GREAT!

Tenderloin Steak

The tenderloin steak is juicy (well it depends on how it was cooked, and this one is medium) and lightly flavored to give out the real taste of the beef. Like the ribs, it was served with a choice of sauce and side dish along with cooked vegetables.

Fish and Chips with tar tar sauce

The fish is not really special, it was just like any other fish and chips you could find in any other restaurants. Not that it was not nice, it's really nice indeed. The crunch and the fish is well cooked inside. But if you are visiting Smokey Ribs, I would reccomend you to pick the grill fish.

Pink Panther

This beverage comes in a pitcher, so the taste wasn't that thick. It's soda with some strawberry syrup I think, but it really goes well with the foods.

White Hunter

White Hunter is a western-italian food restaurant. In Indonesia, it always come along with a Korean restaurant, Han Gang. So we can choose the foods from a wide variety. If we want some Asian we can try Han Gang, and if we want to try American we can go for White Hunter. And the best thing is of course, you can have both at once!
Mozarella Cheese Stick-Rp 28.ooo (US$ 3)

My favorite Cheese Stick in town. It's so worth it! Considering other cheese sticks from other restaurants which cost more than US$4. But lesser price does not mean lesser taste. Served with fresh tomato dips, it has won over my heart, lol! It's so crunchy outside but chewy and soft inside. It just tastes great. Especially when you it eat hot.

Tenderloin Steak--Rp 180.000 (US$ 20)

The steaks here are just fine, but I would suggest you to have it medium rare- if you are not allergic to raw meats- the meat would still have its pinkish red color by then, and still juicy. It's served with a choice of side dish- mashed potato, potato wedges, coleslaw french fries or baked potato
